Homework: Jen Bricker

”The Amazing Powers of Jen Bricker” is about an aerialist without legs. When Jen was born, her biological parents abandoned her. She was adopted and raised by the Bricker family, who taught Jen that you can do anything you want to do. As a 👶, Jen was a talented athlete. For example, she swam and bounced on trampolines. Later in life, Jen learned that her favorite gymnast was her biological sister. As an adult, she became an aerialist, she surfs, and she scuba dives. Through her courage and determination, Jen shows that anything is possible. “The Mighty Tree” is a poem that also celebrates determination by telling about a tree.
